Goodwill is a network of independently run regional organizations rather than one company, so collection is set locally: some regions schedule furniture pickups, many are drop-off only, and large pieces are the first thing left off the list. Where a regional Goodwill does collect, yes. The catch is that free only exists where the service exists, and it comes with their calendar rather than yours. Lugg is a paid booking, priced on the distance between your two addresses plus the time the job takes, and it goes when you want it to. Worth comparing honestly: if your Goodwill collects and the date suits you, take the free slot.
Large furniture is the first thing excluded
Sofas, dining sets, bed frames and anything already broken or stained are the pieces most often turned away, and a used mattress is the one least likely to be accepted anywhere. Check with the Goodwill you're donating to and confirm they'll take the specific piece before you book, because their attendants can still decline it at the door and what one regional Goodwill accepts doesn't mean another will.
Does Goodwill deliver furniture you buy there?
Goodwill stores don't deliver what you buy, so the sofa you found in the shop is yours to get home. Lugg does that trip too, in the same booking shape as a donation run, and one booking holds up to five stops so a drop-off and a pickup can happen on the same trip.
