What is the process for using Lugg to deliver my Academy Sports + Outdoors purchase?

It's simple! Here's the process: 1. Buy your Academy Sports + Outdoors exercise equipment: Complete your purchase at the store or the Academy Sports + Outdoors website and select "in-store pickup." 2. Get the receipt: Hold onto your order confirmation or receipt. You'll need to upload a photo of it when you book. 3. Book your Lugg: Schedule a Lugg for pickup within the hour. Enter the store's address as your pickup location and your home as the drop-off. 4. We handle the rest: Your Luggers will load, transport, and place your Academy Sports + Outdoors exercise equipment in the room of your choice.

Do I need to be at the Academy Sports + Outdoors store for pickup?

No, you don't! As long as you upload a clear photo of your receipt or order confirmation from the Academy Sports + Outdoors store, your Luggers can handle the pickup for you. Some Academy Sports + Outdoors locations may require additional verification, and we will contact you if that's the case.

What if I buy something in a local Academy Sports + Outdoors store and want it delivered the same day?

That's what we specialize in! You can book a Lugg right from the Academy Sports + Outdoors store or parking lot. Our crew can often arrive for pickup within the hour, getting your new Academy Sports + Outdoors exercise equipment home faster than traditional delivery. If you prefer to schedule ahead, you can book your Lugg for the hour of your choice up to 60 days in advance.

Do I need to provide an order number or Academy Sports + Outdoors store receipt?

Yes, upload your digital receipt or provide your Academy Sports + Outdoors order confirmation number when booking so our crew can easily locate your Academy Sports + Outdoors exercise equipment at the store.

Can Lugg pick up my Academy Sports + Outdoors store order if it hasn't been paid for yet?

No, Lugg crews cannot complete payment at the store. Please ensure your Academy Sports + Outdoors purchase is fully paid for and ready for pickup before booking.

Will Lugg wait if my Academy Sports + Outdoors order isn't ready when they arrive?

For stores inside our partner network receiving flat rate delivery, we will wait up to 15 minutes for your order at no additional cost. For wait times over 15 minutes, you may need to re-schedule. For stores outside of our partner network, wait time is billable at your normal labor rate. To avoid charges, confirm with Academy Sports + Outdoors that your order is ready for pickup before booking.

Can Lugg take away my old exercise equipment when delivering my new purchase?

Yes, Lugg can pick up your new exercise equipment and then haul away the old one to a recycling facility or donate it to a local charity, including donation centers like [Goodwill](https://lugg.com/goodwill-donation-pickup) or [Habitat ReStore](https://lugg.com/habitat-for-humanity-donation-pickup). Just add an extra stop when booking your delivery. If you're buying from a partner store, that extra stop means your Lugg is priced as a standard Lugg, with labor billed by the minute at every stop. **Tip**: Donation and disposal centers vary widely in what they accept, so we recommend calling ahead to confirm they can take your exercise equipment, along with their hours and any potential fees.

What if I find damage to my exercise equipment upon arrival?

Please inspect your exercise equipment upon delivery. If you find damage upon receiving your exercise equipment, or discover defects from the store, note it immediately with your crew and contact the Academy Sports + Outdoors store for assistance. If damage to your exercise equipment occurred during transport, please [contact us](https://lugg.com/contact) to file a damage claim. We will ask you to hold your exercise equipment as we work to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.

What supplies and protective equipment will my Luggers bring for my Academy Sports + Outdoors delivery?

Every Lugg Academy Sports + Outdoors delivery includes professional moving equipment, straps, dollies, moving blankets, and stretch wrap to protect your items and your space, plus a basic toolkit for light disassembly or reassembly. Pickup trucks also come equipped with a tarp for weather protection. Your Luggers will wrap fragile or bulky pieces for safe transport, take care to avoid damage to floors, walls, and elevators, and move heavy furniture, appliances, and other large items safely through tight spaces, stairs, and doorways. This helps ensure a smooth, efficient Academy Sports + Outdoors delivery from start to finish.

What happens if my new exercise equipment doesn't fit through my doorway?

You are responsible for measuring your doorways, hallways, and stairwells to ensure your exercise equipment will fit before booking. Your exercise equipment cannot be delivered because it doesn't fit, it can be placed in an alternate location at your destination or be returned to the Academy Sports + Outdoors store of purchase. If you prefer the item is returned to the store, you will be charged for the initial delivery attempt and for the additional return trip.

Can Lugg pick up my exercise equipment from multiple stores in one trip?

Yes, Lugg supports up to 5 pickups or drop-offs per Lugg, so you can coordinate multi-store pickups in one easy delivery. Just add each store as a stop when booking.

How much does a Lugg cost?

Lugg prices every booking as a base fare for the vehicle you pick, a per-mile rate for the distance between your stops, and labor billed by the minute with no hourly minimum. You'll see your upfront estimate before you book, including a small variable booking fee, and rates vary by city. The vehicle you pick sets most of the price, so a single piece of furniture in a Lite or Pickup costs much less than a full apartment in a Box. Routes over 30 miles add a long-distance fee, which is already in your estimate, and a Movers only job has no mileage at all.

We had such a wonderful experience with Mike! He delivered our fireplace and assembled it for us, and the care he brought to the entire experience made our evening feel truly special. From delivery through assembly, Mike was professional, courteous, and attentive. We appreciated the time and effort he put into getting our fireplace set up and ready for us to enjoy. Having someone handle both the delivery and assembly made the experience so much easier, and his helpful attitude added a personal touch that meant a great deal to us. What stood out most was that Mike did more than complete a service—he helped make a special addition to our home a wonderful memory. We were excited about our new fireplace, and being able to enjoy it together that very night made us even happier. Thank you, Mike, for your hard work, professionalism, and kindness. You made our night special, and we are truly grateful. We would gladly recommend you to anyone looking for thoughtful, professional delivery and assembly service! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ - Helen
