Lugg loads a storage unit, empties one, or moves a unit's contents from one facility to another in Fort Collins, with movers and a truck on the way within the hour and no hourly minimum to hit. Lugg is an on-demand moving and delivery service that moves things in and out of storage units, for a unit you already rent.
Moving and storage are two services from two providers: the facility rents you the space, and Lugg moves what goes into it. Lugg has no warehouse and no units of its own, so you pick the facility and the unit size, and every booking runs to or from a unit you already hold. If your storage is a portable container in the driveway rather than a unit at a facility, it's the same job and Lugg loads or unloads it where it sits.
Storage movers work in both directions, and which end is the facility is the only thing that really changes. On the way in, the pickup is your place and the drop-off is the unit; on the way out it's reversed. A move between two facilities, or between two units in the same building, is still one Lugg rather than two bookings, so nothing has to sit on a loading dock waiting for a second truck.
Storage moves are priced as they go: a base fare for the truck you choose, plus a per-minute rate for the labor, both shown as an upfront estimate before you book. There's no hourly minimum, so a 40-minute unit run is billed as 40 minutes rather than the two-to-four-hour minimum a traditional mover starts at.
Because the labor is per the minute, the length of the carry is the part you can control. If you're still choosing a unit, one on the ground floor near the entrance, the loading door or the elevator is a shorter walk than one at the far end of an upper floor, and a drive-up unit with its own exterior door is shorter still. A unit that's packed and stacked toward the door loads faster too.
One Lugg can make up to five stops, so a storage unit cleanout can drop the keepers at home, the donations at a charity and the rest at a disposal site in a single trip. Downsizing, storing furniture between leases, consolidating two units into one, and decluttering after a move all book the same way.
