A two-month calendar — July and August — with the date August 23 lifting out of the grid, illustrating Lugg's new 60-day advance booking window.

Now you can book your move up to 60 days ahead

The Lugg booking window now stretches to 60 days — across every vehicle and service, same upfront pricing.

Moving has a way of sneaking up on you. One day it's comfortably months away; the next, you're scrambling for a truck, movers, and a plan in the same week.

Starting today, you can book a Lugg up to 60 days ahead — double the previous 30-day window! It's live everywhere: in the Android and iOS apps and at lugg.com. It also applies to every vehicle, from Lugg Lite to Box+, and every kind of job — a full move, a single furniture delivery, a junk haul, a donation run. Whatever you'd put in a Lugg, you can now put on the calendar up to two months out.

Why we widened the window

Not long ago, a customer tried to book her move for July 1. It was late May, and we had to tell her no. Not because we were booked up, but because our booking calendar only opened 30 days out, and her date sat just past the edge. She'd signed her lease. She knew exactly when she was moving. The one thing she wanted to cross off her list, she couldn't.

That never sat right with us, and it turns out she wasn't alone. More and more customers message us asking why they can't secure a date that's further out, or noticing the last available day on the calendar and asking how to get past it.

What the extra lead time buys you

The further out you can plan, the less moving day has hanging over it. And timing matters more than people expect: heading into peak moving season, May through September, leases turn over, calendars fill, and the best slots go first. When you already know your date, you can claim it now instead of hoping it's still open later.

Here's the part worth saying plainly: with most traditional moving companies, booking late works against you — last-minute and peak-season bookings tend to cost more, and usually the best time slots are long gone. With Lugg, a booking 60 days out costs exactly what a same-day move costs.

The moves worth putting on the calendar early

Some moves you can't see coming. Most you can, and these are the ones customers lock in first:

  • Apartment lease handoffs: Most leases are signed weeks or months ahead. You can book your apartment move the same day you sign, while the lease email is still open.
  • Home closings: Closings are set 30–60 days out. Put moving day on the calendar the moment the closing date is confirmed.
  • College move-in and move-out: Both ends of the semester are predictable months ahead. Book the dorm move the day the housing email lands, not during finals week.
  • Storage transitions: Moving into, out of, or between storage units gets scheduled around lease gaps, renovations, and closings. Those plans get made early, and now the move can sit on the calendar right alongside them.

What hasn't changed

The window is the only thing that moved. Everything else works the way it always has:

  • Same-day booking: On-demand pickup in as little as 30 minutes, exactly as before.
  • Upfront pricing: You see the price before you book. No hourly minimums, no cancellation fees, and no charge for stairs or drive time.
  • Free changes: Reschedule or cancel without a fee — handy when a closing slips or a delivery date moves.
  • Live tracking: Once your movers are dispatched, you'll get a live tracking link to view your Luggers and items on a map in real time.
  • Damage Protection Guarantee: Every booking is covered, whether it's same-day or two months out.

Lock it in before life gets loud

If you've ever wished you could confirm your movers before the rest of the move got chaotic — now you can, up to two months out. Get it on the calendar, and if plans change, reschedule whenever with no fee and no stress.
