Lugg vs GoShare
Both promise on-demand movers. Only one consistently delivers.

What is Lugg and what is GoShare
What is Lugg?
Lugg is the leading on-demand moving and delivery platform, purpose-built for speed and reliability. Need help now? Movers can arrive in as little as 30 minutes. Every booking includes a truck, professional movers, and Lugg's Damage Protection Guarantee — no surprises, no waiting for someone to accept your job. From marketplace pickups and store deliveries to full apartment moves, junk removal, and labor-only tasks, Lugg handles it all. Upfront pricing appears instantly when you enter your addresses, and you can cancel anytime before your crew arrives with no fees. Professional equipment — dollies, furniture blankets, stretch wrap, straps, and tools — is always included. Lugg is a popular GoShare alternative because everything you need for a move comes in one booking, confirmed the moment you book.
What is GoShare?
GoShare is a delivery and moving platform focused primarily on last-mile business logistics — individual moving is a secondary use case. You book online and wait for a driver to accept your job — nothing is confirmed until someone picks it up. Lugg works differently: Luggers sign up for time slots, so your booking is confirmed the moment you book. The problem with GoShare is consistency. Customers frequently report receiving fewer movers than booked, drivers arriving without proper moving equipment, and final bills 50% or more above the original estimate. Equipment like dollies and furniture blankets is not always included and may cost extra — adding surprise charges to an already stressful process. GoShare has only 28 Trustpilot reviews despite claiming 125,000+ customers served, and holds a 3.9 average across that limited sample.
Feature Comparison Table
Core comparisons
Crew reliability
Lugg guarantees your full crew. Multiple GoShare reviews describe receiving fewer movers than booked.
Equipment included
Lugg includes all professional equipment on every job. GoShare equipment depends on what the driver brings, otherwise it costs extra, confirm before you book.
Pricing transparency
With Lugg you only pay for the time you need. GoShare adds overtime after 109 minutes, and can charge a cancellation fee even if their driver declines your job at pickup.
Mover quality
Luggers are vetted for moving specifically. GoShare driver experience and technique varies widely by individual.
Booking confirmation
Lugg confirms immediately. With GoShare, you wait for acceptance and can be charged a cancellation fee even if their driver refuses the job at pickup.
Speed of service
Lugg is built for urgency with 30-minute arrivals. GoShare's arrival time depends on whether a driver near you accepts the job.
Damage protection
Lugg protects your belongings automatically with a clear guarantee. GoShare lists a coverage amount but customers report denials and unclear terms.
Cancellation policy
Lugg lets you cancel with zero penalty. GoShare charges up to $60 to cancel and can charge you even if their driver is the one who backs out.
Customer support
Lugg provides real support when you need it. GoShare customers describe being stuck with automated responses.
How do they handle real-world scenarios?
Moving a studio or 1-bedroom apartment
You're moving across town and need to transport all your furniture and boxes.
An apartment move requires a coordinated crew that shows up together, with professional equipment, and handles your furniture carefully. Lugg guarantees all of that. With GoShare, your driver and helper are booked separately — two independent acceptances, two chances for someone not to show. If one doesn't, you're moving a couch by yourself on moving day.
Buying furniture on Facebook Marketplace or Craigslist
You found the perfect couch across town and the seller wants it gone today.
Marketplace deals move fast. Lugg can have a truck and two movers at the pickup in 30 minutes, load the item, and deliver it to your room of choice. With GoShare, equipment like furniture blankets and dollies isn't always included — it depends on what the driver happens to have — and add-on fees can stack up fast. Your new couch shouldn't arrive scratched because the driver didn't have a blanket.
Getting new furniture or appliances home from the store
You bought a new couch or mattress at the store but they don't deliver until next week.
Store pickups sound simple until you see the final bill. Lugg shows your full price upfront — no tolls added on, no overtime charges, no surprises. With GoShare, road tolls are added to your final invoice, and if the job runs past 109 minutes, overtime kicks in, with no refund if it finishes early.
Getting rid of old furniture or debris
You have an old couch, mattress, or junk that needs to go to donation or the dump.
Junk removal is time-sensitive and physical — you need a crew that's ready to work and a process you can trust. Lugg handles it end-to-end: your Luggers load the items, haul them away, and dispose of them properly. With GoShare, the driver has the right to decline your job at pickup if they decide the items don't match what was entered — and if they do, you're charged a cancellation fee anyway.
Why Lugg is more transparent than GoShare
GoShare splits your cost between a driver fee and a helper fee — two separate charges, two separate overtime clocks. If either runs past their allotted time, per-minute charges kick in automatically. Road tolls are added to your final bill. Lugg shows you one price before you book, includes equipment, and if your Luggers finish early, you pay less.
GoShare pricing
Driver fee + helper fee + add-ons
GoShare's base estimate looks competitive, but equipment charges and overtime push the real cost well above.
Lugg pricing
Truck + movers + equipment included
That's the complete price, truck, movers, equipment, and protection.
If the job goes faster than estimated, you pay less.

What customers say
Lugg reviews
“Lugg saved me when my GoShare appointment fell through - much cheaper, too. [Luggers] Cesar and Ulises helped me with everything from in-store pickup to bringing an entire fridge up 3 flights of stairs at my apartment complex. Nice dudes, quick, clearly know what they’re doing. Super appreciative for your help today!”
“The app worked well for me. I was able to book a truck and two movers to assist the same day. The price was what I'd expect and cheaper than the Bellhop quote. I could see the status of the movers as they drove over and could communicate via text. I'd use this again if I find myself needing moving help.”
“The best moving experience service ever! I have used Lugg for all my moving, and it's so much better than other platforms. Always worry-free, and every driver and mover is extremely professional and efficient! Highly recommend!”
GoShare reviews
“BEWARE!!! DON'T USE THIS SERVICE! My delivery was $120. I tipped $40. There were charges for two additional fees of $60 and $70. I don't know why. It was a delivery literally down the street from the store. I'll NEVER use this again.”
“They over charged me. I was advised of one fee and charged double. The lack of communication is terrible. I want my money back and will never use them again. You can never get a hold of anyone and they never call back when you ask for a manager. Very unprofessional company and management.”
“I contracted and prepaid for a driver and a helper. The helper was running 10 minutes late, so without asking me, the driver took the furniture off the truck and tried to get it inside on a hand truck. It didn't fit, so he took it off the hand truck and scratched it. Then he brought it inside by himself and left. I pointed out the scratch to him. 10 minutes later, his helper came through the security gate to our development, but then turned around and never came to my door. So I was overcharged for the ghost helper, and left with unnecessarily scratched furniture. Needless to say the tip I was going to give them stayed in my pocket.”
The final verdict
GoShare and Lugg look similar on the surface — both offer on-demand moving and delivery through an app. The difference is what happens after you hit "book." With Lugg, you get a confirmed crew of professional movers, a guaranteed truck, included equipment, and a Damage Protection Guarantee. With GoShare, your booking isn't confirmed until a driver accepts, equipment costs extra, and final bills regularly exceed the original estimate. When your belongings are on the line, the consistency gap matters.
