Lugg handles marketplace pickups, store deliveries, apartment moves within a 150-mile range, junk removal, and Movers only jobs when you just need the crew. A Lugg is a base fare plus labor, and the labor is billed by the minute with no hourly minimums. Your upfront estimate appears as soon as you enter your addresses, and you can cancel anytime before your movers arrive with no fees. Luggers bring dollies, furniture blankets, stretch wrap, straps, and basic hand tools like a screwdriver and hex key. Each Lugger lifts up to 125 lbs per item, so two Luggers can move items up to 250 lbs. For anything heavier, book a second Lugg for the same time window. There is no limit on how many items you move: the vehicle you pick sets the space. Lugg does not pack, unpack, or supply boxes, so pack small and fragile items before your crew arrives. What is Dolly?
Dolly started as a moving and delivery app. Taskrabbit bought it in 2024, and in May 2026 the Dolly brand was retired. It is now called Taskrabbit Delivery. The service still uses independent contractors called Helpers. A Helper has to accept your job before your booking is confirmed. Some customers report booking days or weeks ahead and finding out on moving day that no Helper accepted the job, or that their Helper did not show up. Taskrabbit Delivery advertises same-day help, but a same-day job still needs a Helper to accept it. Cancellation fees go up to 80%, and furniture assembly costs $60 or more on top of the quote.
