Got there early. They were helpful putting the rugs in the rooms and not just dumping them in the garage as other movers do. They were exceptionally pleasant. I love this service! - Penelope

Tiago and Hamza were SO helpful! They were on time, super friendly, and even took some extra trash out to the dumpster for me. Super experience all around and I will be using Lugg again. - Mallory

Very professional! Went above and beyond with every detail! Definitely using Lugg again. I only wish I could edit the app while the workers are here so we could donate items while they are here. - Michele

Edward and Lamin were great. We needed a large hutch moved for donation and just couldn't do it ourselves. They were prompt, efficient and personable. We will definitely keep them in mind for any future jobs! - Meredith

The movers worked conscientiously to move a very heavy sleeper sofa to the van. I really appreciated the positive attitude and professionalism. - Tracy

Arrived on time and carefully delivered my recliner up to a 3rd floor walk up with narrow passages. Polite and efficient. Nice guys! - Justin

They were excellent, very friendly, and actually were able to get my furniture in the house through the front door! They knew how to take apart my recliners which I didn’t even know could be done. Great work, five stars, this crew was outstanding. - Paul

They were very quick professional and efficient. The only concern was that it did not look like my recliner was covered with a tarp or anything while they were delivering it in the truck. But overall, it was a good customer experience. - Frank

Thoughtful, friendly and prompt. Very nice gentlemen. They were careful with the recliner and placed it right where I requested. - Peg

So polite and caring! They took special care with bringing in the recliner. I tipped them as they were leaving. Many thanks….will be calling Lugg again and telling all my friends and family! Great service…. - JOAN

David and Romario were great. They had to navigate a tight spiral staircase with a loveseat and did it expertly and in a timely manner. It is my first time using your service and I will gladly recommend to others and use myself again. Thank you ! - Karen

The company was very good at communicating all steps during the pick up. I knew exactly when they would be arriving at pick up and drop off locations. My item was an 8 foot by 8 foot sectional and I selected the XL van and it was not an issue with space. The guys assembled it at my home, unfortunately one of the clips was not connected. So I will have to find someone else to do this for me. Otherwise they did a great job. I did tip them before they left - Joan

Edmund and Eddie were kind, efficient, and handled my sectional with great care. They completed the job quickly, even on a snowy Christmas Eve. I’m very grateful. - Asmait

Fantastic guys, we had a really tight corridor and stairs to get through with a big two piece sectional and they did a great and clean job getting it all the way up to the top floor for us! - Josiah

Anthony and Edmund did an excellent job with picking up my sectional couch from HomeGoods and delivering it promptly with care. The team was professional, efficient, and exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend them! - Olivia

This team did a fabulous job wrapping up each piece of the sectional. They were punctual and professional. - Gina

Edmund and Anthony were very prompt leaving to pick up the item before I had even left the store. Helpful in switching the chaisse end on the sectional and assembling the item. I would highly recommend this professional friendly duo. Great service today!!! - Vicky

They accomodated a difficult move of a large sectional - down the back stairs and through a narrow passage to the street. They took extra care with the piece - making sure it never touched the ground. Super nice guys too! - Jane

Matthew and Thomas were prompt, courteous and even offered to move our sectional into our living room! They went above and beyond! Thank you! - Hilary

Glen and Victor were excellent! They were super helpful and kept a positive attitude while dealing with a sectional too large to get into place 😅 They got the job done and were a pleasure to deal with. Thank you!! - Ragnhild

Very professional and hardworking. Great attitude and did an excellent job at getting the couch up an extremely difficult space - Ally

They had a very difficult move with a large couch and several narrow flights of stairs. They did extremely well and I’m grateful for their help. Thanks so much!!! - Aaron

Getting rid of a couch takes two things: somewhere that will take it, and a way to get it there. You find the destination, whether that's a dump, a recycling center or a donation center, and a couch removal service does the carrying and the driving. Lugg movers are on the way within an hour, or you pick a one-hour window that suits you. They carry the sofa out of whatever room it's sitting in, load it, and drive it to the drop-off, so you're neither wrestling it down a stairwell nor borrowing a truck to reach a transfer station. One booking can make up to five stops, which is what a living-room swap usually needs: the sectional that's still good goes to a donation center and the broken recliner goes to the dump. Lugg is an on-demand moving and delivery service that carries an old couch out of the building and hauls it to the dump, recycling center or donation center you name.
Couch disposal is priced per job rather than as a flat fee. You'll see your estimate before you book. It's based on the vehicle you choose plus the labor time the movers spend, priced by the minute. There's no hourly minimum, so a single sofa down one flight doesn't get rounded up to a half-day block. A walk-up, a long carry out to the street and a slow elevator all take longer, and that time reads as labor minutes. You can cancel any time before the movers arrive at no charge.
Whichever facility in Worcester takes the couch charges its own fee for accepting it, based on weight. Your Luggers pay that on site so you don't need to go along, and it reaches your card as a separate charge after the Lugg is finished. It sits outside your estimate rather than inside it.
The drop-off address goes on the booking the same way any second stop would. If the sofa is still in good shape, a donation center is usually the cheapest ending it can have.
Charities set their own condition standards rather than following one national rule, most won't take a couch that's torn or stained, and a piece can still be turned down when it arrives at the door. A rejection costs you the trip and leaves you with the couch and a second run to the dump, so check with your local center that they'll take it before you put their address on the booking. If it isn't in good enough shape to donate, sofa disposal means a transfer station or landfill, which takes it by weight.
A couch on the way out doesn't need measuring. It came in through that door once, so it goes out through it. What's left is weight and angles. A sleeper hides a steel folding frame and weighs far more than the same sofa without one. A sectional splits into pieces that travel one at a time. A full-size couch in a narrow stairwell turns on the landing, not the doorway.
Lugg can move items up to 250 lbs each, or up to 125 lbs on a Lugg Lite. Pick the vehicle for the load when you book, and add a second stop if part of the set is going somewhere different from the rest.
There are three usual ways to get rid of a sofa: the curb, a charity, or a haul-away. If your city runs a bulk pickup day and you can wait for the date, that's the cheapest way to lose a couch, as long as you can get it to the curb yourself. That last part is where most people stop, because a sofa is manageable across a level driveway and close to impossible down three flights.
A charity will sometimes collect it for free, on their truck and their calendar, and the same condition standards decide whether they take it. A couch haul-away is for when the couch has to be gone on a date you pick rather than one you're offered. And if your city is already collecting from the curb and the only hard part is the staircase, book Lugg in Worcester for labor only and skip the second address: same movers, no drop-off.
