Uber for movers in Richmond, CA

Guys were great. The time it took to deliver was about 6 hours. I was under the impression that like Uber my stuff got picked up and delivered right away. Seemed like a lot of stuff got picked up and mine got delivered in whatever order of delivery. Is that how Lugg works? My first time using it so I don't know.

The movers were very nice and worked hard. However, it felt like being in an uber car, going somewhere close, but the driver has no idea how to get there, so we just drive around in circles, while I am getting charged for it. I had to think how to move the couch and give orders to your movers. Once we figured out *how* to move it, the actual move did not take long, though it was a heavy sofa. So I think you should perhaps train your movers about how to move stuff through narrow passages, of which there are plenty in the Bay Area.

We really appreciate Fred & Frankie accepting a moving job from Mountain View to Sunnyvale despite their base being in SF and them wrapping up a moving job in Oakland, putting in a 13-hour day! The company FAQ should state that jobs are assigned to the nearest team, which might be based 40 miles away, and that teams can decline jobs -- rather than let customers assume thus works like Uber and Lyft, where drivers initiate acceptance of a gig. We were arranging pickup of a Craigslist item after dinner and expected -- and told the seller when we requested a Lugg -- that the drivers would arrive in 15-60 minutes, per the company communications; the drivers told me 40 minutes after i requested the gig and received confirmation that their ETA was another 40 minutes. I would use this service again if we had the option to book gigs in advance as well as request on demand. Some people -- including Craigslist sellers and planners like me who are juggling a lot of things at once -- like being able to count on when the pickup will happen.

They were both great, very friendly, courteous and professional. One thing I would update about the app is to have something that shows the movers progress, like lyft and uber have. I got texted by you 13 minutes and then ends up waiting closer to 30.

Friendly and helpful gents. Great job guys. Made moving super easy! However from the Lugg marketing, as a first time user, I was under the impression they would have had a box truck. Having only a pickup truck makes the service much less useful and I would be more likely to rent my own box truck (like uhaul) next time than use Lugg because of that unknown. It would be great if Lugg added a feature to allow the user to select the truck size desired. Similar to Uber where you can pick from various vehicle types like uberx, black car, or SUV. I ended up making a couple extra runs with my car to get the remaining items that didn't fit in the truck, and on the last run, while I was inside getting the last shelving unit, someone smashed the back window on my car and stole some bags of stuff I was moving.

Great guys. Very pleasant and eager to please. Overall great experience. One suggestion for LUGG overall, it would help if - like Uber & Lyft - you could give a description of the vehicle in addition to the photos of the movers. In our case, we could have flagged them over to our pick up point since there was heavy traffic on this one way street. Poor guys had to go around the block a couple times before we all saw each other. Will definitely use LUGG again for small moves within the city. Clayton

Lugg was easy to schedule, communicated regularly, arrived early, the gentlemen movers were highly professional and efficient. This was my first experience using Lugg and a good one. Great service business that easily and affordably solves moving problems.

These are the two best movers I’ve ever had, and I’ve had dozens of moves. So friendly, efficient, polite, respectful, professional, careful, thoughtful, and great energy.

This team was extremely professional & focused. Homer & Kevin had to carry all my furniture up 4 flights of stairs because the building’s elevator is broken. The offload job was difficult and this team did it very quickly! Again many thanks to Homer & Kevin for taking such good care of my belongings & for their great attitude. I tipped $50 cash (to be split) at the end of the job & left $130.00 tip to be split between the 2 movers on the Lugg website. An excellent job!! Highly recommend Kevin & Homer !! Thank you again Lugg for a fantastic experience!

My place has a flight of 30 stairs and no elevator. Many a movers has struggled to get heavy stuff up these stairs like a piano. But the two made it look easy!!! They had great teamwork and communication.
