Showed up timely, loaded furniture with care and without delay. Some furniture very heavy - but not for them! Strapped items down securely. At drop off asked where to unload - did not assume. The service was great! They were at Living Spaces within a half hour after purchasing a couch. The van has brand new and very clean both inside the van and outside and well lit inside the storage part. They had moving blankets and plastic over my $2,000 dollar sofa. The also help disassemble and assemble the couch backs to make it fit through a narrow doorway. Very polite and considerate especially with my super over [riced couch. Honestly this was the best experience I’ve ever went through with moving furniture. They were cheaper then the store delivery price and so precise and clean when bringing furniture into the house and up the stairs they did a even better job then any furniture delivery story could have done. Not to mention they were extremely polite, and punctual!! Truly thank you again Frank and Victor you both totally blew my mind and even my hubby was impressed which trust me says A LOT!! The time at pickup after 10 was less than 5 minutes, this was incorrectly reported. When I book 10-11 I expect the clock will start at 10 not when you decide to show up early. This was over budget as a result. Friendly people and good movers but this is not how it should go. - Ashley

They were very nice and did a good job. I sent an email earlier to your email to tell you the name of the place and the suite number. We communicated and I again gave the same message to them. It took longer than I thought because we verified it by phone. I’m not sure why the price went up so much. Your original temporary estimate was about $99. I thought the most it could be was maybe $138. The mileage from pickup to my place is 11-12-or 13 at the most. I had no idea when first quoted they drove from so far away. The store they picked it up from had someone who quoted me $140 but he was not available. I probly would not use your service again because the pricing was not clear. I bought a new sectional at living spaces and delivery wasn’t available, so before lugs I would’ve had to rent a U-Haul and try to find someone that can help me. Three things decide what a local move in Orange County costs: the truck it goes in, the distance between your addresses, and how much labor time the job takes. Lugg is an on-demand moving and delivery service that lets you choose the vehicle and the crew for your load, so a two-item move doesn't get priced like a whole home. Labor is billed by the minute with no hourly minimum, for a move that's too big for a car and too small to be worth a moving company's minimum.
Every Lugg has two parts. The base fare covers the vehicle you picked and the distance between your addresses. Labor covers the crew's time on the job, billed by the minute with no hourly minimum, so a forty-minute move is billed as forty minutes.
You aren't billed for the time spent driving between stops, and there's no in-home visit to produce the estimate. What does add up is time on site. Lugg movers can also load or unload a truck or container you've already rented, billed the same way.
The truck you pick sets the base fare. A Lugg Lite is a single Lugger with a pickup truck, enough for a few boxes or a small, light load. The Pickup option adds a second set of hands for most one or two piece jobs. A cargo van takes a studio's worth, and a box truck is for a full home.
Most of the labor comes down to how far the crew carries things and how much handling each item needs. Box and bag everything loose before they arrive, since Lugg doesn't provide packing services or boxes, then stage it all as close to where the truck will park as you can manage, by the door or out in the driveway. Take furniture apart yourself if you can, because disassembly is one of the biggest time sinks in a move.
The same applies at the drop-off. Having the crew set boxes just inside the door rather than carrying them room to room saves real minutes, and so does handling the reassembly yourself. Every trip further into the house is billed time.
You can skip all of it. Luggers will carry boxes out of any room, take furniture apart and put it back together, and set everything down where you point. It just takes longer, and longer labor time costs more. The difference is that the trade is yours to make, and the estimate is in front of you before you commit.
