I had signed up to have my materials brought to a dump. When the dump was unexpectedly closed, Darwin found an alternate location and was able to complete the trip, truly saving the day. - Ellen

Michael M. and Jerome did an outstanding job moving 2 large furniture items from my second floor apartment and taking them to our bulk trash location nearby even sending pictures of where they placed the items to make sure it was right. Michael and Jerome were a pleasure to work with and I highly recommend them and Lugg! - Sally

Everything. They even took a minute to help me put legs on the love seat. They took the huge boxes away to the trash dock. They were both fun and kind. - Tiik

Coty and Holly did an outstanding job coming out and loading small furniture and home decor. Even though it was raining they were both pleasant and professional. They quickly moved the items and delivered them to the Salvation Army donation center. I highly recommend them for fast and reliable moving service. - Cindy

Tried Lugg after a not so great experience with another company. Excellent, efficient service. Jahlil and Jammie took great care of my items and made sure they made it to the donation center in perfect condition. - Sequoia

Fombeoh and Atiqullah were great! They were friendly and efficient! We had a large donation going to goodwill and they finished the pick up quickly and efficiently! We would use Lugg again! - Erica

They were incredibly fast. They were easy to work with. When salvation Army declined some of the donations, they took them to Goodwill industries, which did. I can’t trave enough about them. They were princes. - Barbara

Eugene & William were extremely nice, careful with the furniture, swift, and very patient when there was a hangup at the donation drop-off location! Very grateful that they were assigned to my task. - Cat

They were extremely courteous and professional, wrapped my furniture with care, and safely moved my donation to Goodwill. I could not have asked for better service, and I would be honored to work with them and Lugg again. - Peggy

Houssemeddine & William were fantastic. Efficently moved my sleeper couch down two flights of stairs, through a tight alley way and into their truck. Once we arrived, they even put the couch together. - Angus

These guys were absolute machines! They arrived right on time and got straight to work. I was genuinely impressed (and a little worried for their safety!) by how fast they moved. They navigated a heavy sleeper sofa around a tight L-shaped corner in record time, then zipped through several smaller items without missing a beat. Incredibly efficient—highly recommend! They were also nice & friendly. - Michelle

Xavier and Jerome were polite, friendly, efficient and wonderful. They were on time and checked the space before unloading my sleeper sofa. And they verified everything was ok with me before doing anything. This was a great experience for a first time Lugg user. - Christina

Saulo & Alex brought a very heavy recliner seamlessly from the store to my home. I appreciate their effort! - Denise

Daniel E. and William are experts, got a heavy loveseat recliner from NoVa to MD and out of a house with many steps. Wrapped all pieces and handled with care. Thank you! - Karen

(Sectional w/ ottoman) Brandon and Earl were absolutely fantastic! From the moment they arrived, they were professional, friendly, and efficient. They handled everything with such care and attention, making the whole moving process stress-free. Not only did they work quickly, but they also went above and beyond to ensure the sectional was protected. Their positive energy and teamwork made the experience genuinely enjoyable. I can’t recommend them enough. If you get the chance to book Brandon and Earl, consider yourself lucky. They turned what could’ve been a stressful move into a smooth and easy process. - Jon

Olukayode & Saulo did a great job moving a large heavy sectional sofa through a tiny doorway and helping us rearrange our room with the new sofa in it. I would certainly hire them again. - Matthew

Michael and Jerome were fantastic! They went above and beyond to help us move our sectional sofa. We will have a hard time ever moving this couch out without their help. - Tommy

Amazing and so nice! Fit a big sectional couch down a narrow set of stairs with a difficult turn. So helpful! - Lauren

Damion and Asauru delivered my ikea sectional for me, they were great, on time and early, texted before pickup, texted after pick up, they were careful, very friendly and kind, the quality of the service made me very happy and comfortable. I highly recommend them 🏆 - Tom

Rodney S and Javon were quick and very careful picking up a couch, taking it to our home, and up some formidable stairs. Super happy to have them and grateful for their work today. - Cherie

First experience using Lugg to move a white sofa I bought on FB marketplace. Very impressed with sophistication of these movers! They wrapped the couch in plastic, sealed up the cushions in clean containers and had two dollies. I think we tend to underestimate weight/size of items we want to move but im so glad I opted for the van vs truck and 2 guys versus opting to be the helper for a discount. It did add about 40% to the cost of my couch but still a deal. - Terra

Packed the couch really well to protect it and navigated through some pretty tight spots. Appreciate it! - Tracy

Jahlil and Brandon J. were the best. They even shrink-wrapped the couch so that it was protected whilst in the van and not only moved it into the apartment, but arranged it to my liking. Thank you both so much! - Zoe

Getting rid of a couch takes two things: somewhere that will take it, and a way to get it there. You find the destination, whether that's a dump, a recycling center or a donation center, and a couch removal service does the carrying and the driving. Lugg movers are on the way within an hour, or you pick a one-hour window that suits you. They carry the sofa out of whatever room it's sitting in, load it, and drive it to the drop-off, so you're neither wrestling it down a stairwell nor borrowing a truck to reach a transfer station. One booking can make up to five stops, which is what a living-room swap usually needs: the sectional that's still good goes to a donation center and the broken recliner goes to the dump. Lugg is an on-demand moving and delivery service that carries an old couch out of the building and hauls it to the dump, recycling center or donation center you name.
Couch disposal is priced per job rather than as a flat fee. You'll see your estimate before you book. It's based on the vehicle you choose plus the labor time the movers spend, priced by the minute. There's no hourly minimum, so a single sofa down one flight doesn't get rounded up to a half-day block. A walk-up, a long carry out to the street and a slow elevator all take longer, and that time reads as labor minutes. You can cancel any time before the movers arrive at no charge.
Whichever facility in Annapolis takes the couch charges its own fee for accepting it, based on weight. Your Luggers pay that on site so you don't need to go along, and it reaches your card as a separate charge after the Lugg is finished. It sits outside your estimate rather than inside it.
The drop-off address goes on the booking the same way any second stop would. If the sofa is still in good shape, a donation center is usually the cheapest ending it can have.
Charities set their own condition standards rather than following one national rule, most won't take a couch that's torn or stained, and a piece can still be turned down when it arrives at the door. A rejection costs you the trip and leaves you with the couch and a second run to the dump, so check with your local center that they'll take it before you put their address on the booking. If it isn't in good enough shape to donate, sofa disposal means a transfer station or landfill, which takes it by weight.
A couch on the way out doesn't need measuring. It came in through that door once, so it goes out through it. What's left is weight and angles. A sleeper hides a steel folding frame and weighs far more than the same sofa without one. A sectional splits into pieces that travel one at a time. A full-size couch in a narrow stairwell turns on the landing, not the doorway.
Lugg can move items up to 250 lbs each, or up to 125 lbs on a Lugg Lite. Pick the vehicle for the load when you book, and add a second stop if part of the set is going somewhere different from the rest.
There are three usual ways to get rid of a sofa: the curb, a charity, or a haul-away. If your city runs a bulk pickup day and you can wait for the date, that's the cheapest way to lose a couch, as long as you can get it to the curb yourself. That last part is where most people stop, because a sofa is manageable across a level driveway and close to impossible down three flights.
A charity will sometimes collect it for free, on their truck and their calendar, and the same condition standards decide whether they take it. A couch haul-away is for when the couch has to be gone on a date you pick rather than one you're offered. And if your city is already collecting from the curb and the only hard part is the staircase, book Lugg in Annapolis for labor only and skip the second address: same movers, no drop-off.
