Solomon and Tavis were awesome. Just the nicest guys. They were professional and courteous and offered to help move my old furniture out of the way to get the new furniture in place. - Steven

Very good at their jobs! They carried a heavy piece of old furniture up 4 flights of stairs and got it to me safely. - Bridget

They were on-time, friendly, and very helpful to clean up old furniture/trash before placing the new furniture! - Kyle

Thank you, you did a wonderful job! After you completed the task you had also taken out my old furniture. Thank you for your hard work! - Judy

They did this on a 20-degree day. They weren't fazed by a miscount of boxes and a misrepresentation of the size of the boxes. They parked the van despite abandoned construction on the curb. They carried the boxes down two flights of tightly spiraled stairs. - Mary

William and Tauren were the absolute best movers—they were so professional, friendly, and efficient. They went above and beyond with their service, and the move went without a hitch. They even helped me get rid of my current couch/put it on the curb. And we had such great conversations in the short time they were here! I would 1000% hire them to move again! - Janice

They were great, super friendly and professional. Made the move really easy and helped bring down my old dresser to the curb. - Julia

When the Luggers started the move in the app at 9:04 pm. However, they were not at the pick up spot. I sent them a text message at 9:07 pm and then called at 9:08 pm. The Luggers said they were in another street, despite there being an open parking space and I had the item (a portable washing machine) on the curb. They drove up at 9:11 pm and very quickly, in about three minutes, and drove to the destination. However, the app shows that the pickup time was 12 minutes, which definitely was not the case. It would be great to have the order updated with the accurate time at the pickup. Thank you. - Dara

They kept me.posted re delivery progress the whole time. Very friendly and placed my boxes on my curbside trolley. Very efficient. A great team. - Laura

They were super! Arrived as expected! Brett even helped us carry an old chair to the curb! Simply wonderful! - Kimberly

The thing was too big for my space and I wound up having to ask them to leave it on the curb after they'd lugged 200 lbs and they were so nice about it! - Molly

They informed me that I only paid for curbside drop off but they went out of their way to bring my stuff up to my floor. - Paolo Marco

I appreciate their help, my delivery was supposed to be a curbside pick up, but they brought it upstairs for me, as soon as they see me they said" oh no ma'am this is too heavy for you to take, let's help you" and they continously greeting me like they know me somewhere 😀 😂🤭. Also they arrived on time ⏲ I like that. - Aminata

Kali, was incredibly efficient. Came on time and was kind enough to wait as I got ready to come downstairs. Kali also brought ALL 6 items upstairs from curbside. 5 stars. - Miguel

Sadiki and Jeremy were amazing! The couch we got was very heavy, but they stayed positive and did the job incredibly well. We’re so grateful!! - Alice

They waited patiently while I worked out the They waited patiently while I worked out the COI situation with Lugg corporate and my building. They were very respectful of my home and my mother’s where they delivered the couch. - Pamela

Friendliest guys. Dealt with a tough situation with a huge couch and a tight corner, and did an amazing job - Alex

Taurean and Kristian were very communicative and provided updates on he delivery. They delivered and set up the couch quickly. And cleaned up as well. They are super professional and experts at moving. - Helen

Wanted to add to the tip so added here. Wonderful service. They were prompt and friendly and carried a couch up a steep flight of stairs without making any marks on the walls. Would definitely recommend them and use them again! - Ilya

I loved working with Lugg! They wrapped my couch and table so efficiently upon pickup, and set them up good as new in my apartment. The ability to loop in the seller to the movers ETA made the transaction seamless. Can’t wait to use Lugg again! - Erin

Was very impressed with their ability to navigate a tight entryway to fit our couch!! Definitely recommend!! - Regan

Diego and Miguel were amazing — so helpful & quick! Navigated delivering my couch seamlessly despite a very tricky apartment layout! - Maddie

Dmetry and Maksim were incredibly reliable and helpful! I had been struggling to get a heavy couch out of my home for months, and they got it done safely and efficiently in less than 30 minutes. I’m so grateful for their help and professionalism. I’ll definitely be using Lugg again in the future! - Tori

Jose and Travis were great! They happily moved my very heavy couch and worked very efficiently. My only suggestion would be to wrap any upholstered furniture in moving blankets to protect it in the future. - Deirdre

Most dumps and recycling centers close in the early afternoon. We recommend calling before you book to confirm they're open and can accept your items.
The dump or recycling center you choose charges a fee based on the combined weight of your items: typically from $35 for a small item up to $150+. Your Luggers pay it at the facility, and it's charged to your card separately from your Lugg total, usually within 48 hours.

Furniture removal is two jobs: getting the piece out of the building, and getting it somewhere that will take it. Lugg is an on-demand moving and delivery platform that covers both halves of furniture removal in Manhattan: movers arrive with a truck, carry the piece out of whatever room it's in, load it, and drive it to the dump, recycling center or donation center you name. One chair or a whole house, it's the same furniture removal service and the same booking.
The estimate you see before booking is the vehicle's base fare plus the movers' time, billed by the minute. There's no hourly minimum, so a single couch carried down one flight prices like the short job it is instead of rounding up to a minimum block. Stairs, a long carry from the door and a slow elevator all take longer, and that time shows up as labor minutes rather than a separate surcharge. You can cancel any time before the movers arrive at no charge, and you'll see your estimate before anything is confirmed.
Most furniture removal is a single piece of old furniture that won't fit in a car and won't go down the stairs alone. Lugg handles items up to 250 lbs each, or up to 125 lbs on a Lugg Lite, and the vehicle and crew are sized to the piece: an upright piano can run 300 to 700 lbs, where a couch or a mattress and box spring is a smaller job.
A garage cleanout, an apartment cleanout at the end of a lease, an estate cleanout after a house sells, or a house cleanout before a move all work as one booking. Movers go room by room and load as they go, and you can add up to five stops, so the pieces still worth using go to a donation center and the rest gets hauled away to the dump on the same run instead of two bookings and two trips.
Offices clear out on a deadline: a lease ends, a floor gets consolidated, a fit-out finishes. Lugg movers carry desks, chairs, filing cabinets, conference tables and cubicle panels out and drive them to the disposal or donation site you choose, including evenings and weekends when the building requires it. Same booking, same by-the-minute pricing.
Lugg does, and it takes one booking: movers arrive with a truck, carry your old furniture out from wherever it's sitting, and drive it to the dump, recycling center or donation center you choose in Manhattan. There's no hourly minimum, and you can book within the hour or pick a one-hour window that suits you.

Most junk hauls are furniture, mattresses, appliances, boxes and bagged household trash going to the dump. Bagged yard waste works the same way, as long as it fits the vehicle you book, and Lugg handles items up to 250 lbs each, or up to 125 lbs on a Lugg Lite. People book it for garage cleanouts, estate cleanouts, office declutters and spring cleaning, and for the single heavy thing that won't fit in a car. For safety reasons, Lugg can't take hazardous material like paint, chemicals, batteries or propane tanks, or loose trash and raw material like soil, compost and branches.
A landfill or transfer station, a recycling center, or a donation center like Goodwill, Salvation Army or Habitat for Humanity ReStore if the piece is still usable. Lugg's guide to finding a dump or donation center covers how to pick one near you.
Lugg handles the transport, not the disposal, so you choose the destination and your Luggers drive it there and unload it. Call ahead to check the facility's hours and fees, and that it will take what you're bringing.
No, Lugg movers will carry your items out from anywhere inside your home or on your property, including attics, basements and garages. Nothing has to reach the curb first.
Yes, if it's still in good usable condition, Lugg can deliver it to your preferred donation center in Manhattan like Goodwill, Salvation Army or Habitat for Humanity. Just add the donation center as your drop-off location.
It's worth contacting your local donation center in Manhattan to confirm their drop-off hours and whether your items are eligible for donation.
Most recycling and transfer centers in Manhattan take mattresses, TVs and appliances as e-waste, sometimes for an extra fee. Lugg can drive them to any facility that accepts them, though Lugg doesn't handle the disposal itself. Confirm your local facility's policy before you book, because acceptance and pricing vary by location.
Yes, Lugg does same-day junk removal: book within the hour, pick a one-hour arrival window later today, or schedule up to 60 days out. Just check that your drop-off site is still open, since dumps and recycling centers often close in the early afternoon.
No, the facility's fee isn't included in your Lugg total. The dump or recycling center you choose in Manhattan charges a fee based on the combined weight of your items, and it varies by location. Most customers pay between $35 and $150. Your Luggers pay it for you at the facility, and it's charged to your card separately from your Lugg total, usually within 48 hours.
