Ramiro and John provided professional service They arrived timely to the pickup location; loaded the tables into the van; and patiently waited with me while I waited for my Uber driver to pick me up and transport me to my apartment. A senior move is usually one of two jobs. Either you're clearing out a house someone has lived in for decades, or you're moving them into a smaller place, a retirement community or assisted living. Both run on a date somebody else set, a closing, a lease end, or a room that just opened up. Lugg is an on-demand moving and delivery service that carries furniture, mattresses and household goods for families moving a parent or grandparent out of a house, or into a retirement community or assisted living.
What Lugg handles on a senior relocation, and what it doesn't
Families searching for senior movers usually need two things: help deciding what goes, and someone to carry it. Lugg is the second, the transport and the lifting. Movers take the bed frame, the recliner, the dresser and the boxes you've already packed, load them, drive them, and carry each piece to the room it goes in at the other end. Lugg movers can put a bed frame or a dining table back together right there in the room.
What Lugg doesn't do is sort, decide or pack. There's no walkthrough where someone helps choose what to keep, and Lugg doesn't supply boxes or mattress covers, so anything small or loose needs to be boxed and taped before the crew arrives. Families often use a senior move manager for the sorting and Lugg for the move itself.
Moving into a retirement community
Retirement communities, assisted living and nursing homes all set the terms for move-in day: a booked elevator, a loading-dock window, a set number of hours to be in and out. Book the Lugg for the window they give you, anywhere from same-day to 60 days ahead, so the truck lands inside it. Movers carry it up stairs, into elevators and down long hallways, so a second-floor unit with no lift is still a normal job.
