HomeGoods stock changes all the time, so the piece you love today may not be on the floor next week, and leaving it behind to come back with a truck is a gamble. Chairs are the most common HomeGoods Lugg, from accent chairs to recliners, followed by sofas, tables, mirrors and rugs. Console tables, cabinets, sideboards, bookcases and patio sets come home the same way.
Choose a vehicle at least as long as your longest piece. Most HomeGoods runs fit in a pickup truck, booked as a Lite or a Pickup, and its bed is at least 6 feet long and carries a tarp. A Van (at least 8 feet) or an XL (at least 10 feet) is enclosed, which keeps a velvet sofa or a framed mirror dry on a rainy day. A Box truck, 12 to 16 feet, takes a whole room of furniture in one trip.
Lugg movers wrap and strap each piece before it goes on the truck, and the pieces that need it most at HomeGoods are the ones that look sturdy and aren't: an oversized HomeGoods mirror, glass-topped tables and stone-topped consoles. If a piece is heavy, check its weight before you book. Lugg's weight limit is 125 lbs per Lugger, or 250 lbs per item on any vehicle that comes with two Luggers: Pickup, Van, XL, Box or Box+. Anything heavier needs more Luggers on the job, so book a second Lugg for the same time window.
