No Uber option comes with movers and a truck. UberX and UberXL are rides for people, and Uber Courier caps a vehicle delivery at 30 lbs of closed, sealed boxes that fit in the trunk of a mid-size car, so a couch, a mattress or a dozen boxes are all out. Lugg is an on-demand moving service that puts movers and a truck on the way the same day, for the loads a rideshare can't take.
Yeah, and it's the flow you already know: enter your addresses, pick your vehicle, see the estimate, confirm. On-demand puts movers on the way within the hour, or pick a same-day hour that suits you, or schedule up to 60 days out. The difference from a ride is that you're booking the lifting too, so movers carry it up stairs, into elevators and down long hallways at both ends.
One booking covers a couch on its own or a whole studio, and Lugg can move items up to 250 lbs each. Lugg can drop off up to 150 miles from your pickup address, so across town and into the next city both work. Labor is billed by the minute with no hourly minimums, which is what makes a one-item move worth booking at all, since traditional movers charge a two to four hour minimum whether the job needs it or not.
