These gentlemen were absolutely exceptional!!! From beginning to end they kept me posted with their location until they arrived. They loaded and unloaded my bed carefully and quickly. Once they placed everything inside my home they asked where I would like my bed to be assembled. I was shocked as I thought it would only be delivered, so I was very pleased to find out they were also going to assemble it. During assembly we hit a road block because we noticed some pieces were missing to properly assemble the bed. They quickly came up with a resolution and was able to drill the bed together where the pieces were missing to ensure it was nice and sturdy. The tracking of the delivery was very helpful. The patio chairs and table were relatively light.....but a bit bulky. Because we live in a Condo with crazy rules for deliveries and non resident entries, we met the delivery at the front door with luggage carts so they wouldn't be burdened with coming inside. You pick the tree at the lot, the farm, the nursery or the hardware store, pick the truck it lies flat in, and a crew meets you there to load it and carry it inside. A Christmas tree delivery service is really just that: a truck, a crew, and the hour you'd otherwise spend tying a fir to a roof rack. Lugg is an on-demand moving and delivery service that carries Christmas trees in Miami, real or artificial, for people who have found the tree they want and no way to get it home.
Real Christmas tree delivery: getting it home in one piece
A fresh-cut tree travels lying down, so measure the load space, not the tree. A Lugg pickup bed is at least 6 feet inside wall to wall, a van is at least 8 feet long, an XL van at least 10, and a box truck 12 to 16. A boxed artificial tree is easier to handle, though a pre-lit nine-footer in its carton is bulkier and heavier than most people expect. The crew brings furniture blankets, stretch wrap and tie-down straps, and a pickup also carries a tarp, which is what keeps sap and needles out of a car you'd otherwise be vacuuming until spring. Have the stand out and ready before the crew arrives, and they can carry the tree to the room you name and set it into the stand once it's there.
