Both were great to work with and assisted me immensely in the task needed. Only thing I would recommend for LUGG is maybe bring moving/lifting things and if you need them they are at least there. Cut to the chase (which is what I wanted after a day of thousands of decisions), were flexible and willing to do things the way I felt like we needed, and were careful with my stuff. Lugg is an on-demand moving and delivery platform where you book local movers with a truck, so a job you'd have spent a day renting, driving and loading yourself takes a few taps to book. You enter a pickup address and a drop-off address, pick the vehicle that fits the load, and a crew arrives to do the lifting and the driving. There's nothing to reserve at a counter and nothing to bring back.
Money is one thing, but your time and energy are another. Renting a truck means driving out to the lot, checking it out, usually leaving a deposit, buying supplies, driving it back to your place, loading it yourself, driving across town, unloading it, refueling, returning it, and then finding your own way home. An hour of actual moving turns into most of a Saturday, and you're doing every step of it.
A Lugg estimate includes the truck, the crew, and the equipment they bring. There's no day or hourly rate to extend if the job runs long, no fuel stop along the way, and no dolly or moving blankets to add by the item.
If you've already rented a truck, you can still book Movers only and have the heavy lifting handled. Lugg movers load the rental, unload it, or both, and they can take furniture apart and put it back together while they're there. Loading at one address and unloading at another takes a Movers only booking at each end.
Both are one Lugg. A single couch bought across town, a mattress and bed frame, a treadmill that has to go down to the basement, or a studio and one-bedroom cleared out and set back up at the other end. The vehicle is sized to the load; the rest of the process is the same.
The number you see before booking is built from the vehicle's base fare plus the crew's time, billed by the minute, so a short job prices like a short job. Stairs, a long carry from the door, and a slow elevator all take longer, and that time shows up as labor minutes.

Lugg's weight limit is 125 lbs per Lugger, or 250 lbs per item on any vehicle that comes with two Luggers: Pickup, Van, XL, Box or Box+. Anything heavier needs more Luggers on the job, so book a second Lugg for the same time window. There's no limit on how many items you move, and size comes down to which vehicle you choose.
Yes, with Lugg you can book on-demand, same-day, and next-day moving truck moves. Movers and a truck can arrive within the hour, or you can schedule up to 60 days in advance for a time that works best for you.
Yes, you can add multiple stops to a single Lugg, perfect if you need to pick up items from a store, drop a few things at storage, and then head to your new place in Salt Lake City. Just enter each stop in the order you'd like during booking, and your crew will handle them all in one Lugg.
Mileage is totaled across your whole route, so if your stops add up to more than 30 miles you'll also see a long-distance fee in your estimate.
Lugg prices every booking as a base fare for the vehicle you pick, a per-mile rate for the distance between your stops, and labor billed by the minute with no hourly minimum. You'll see your upfront estimate before you book, including a small variable booking fee, and rates vary by city.

No, Lugg does not pack, unpack, or provide packing supplies (boxes, tape, mattress bags, floor runners). Please have items boxed, sealed, and labeled before the crew arrives. Your Luggers will carefully protect furniture and other large items with moving supplies and equipment during transport in Salt Lake City.
Yes, your Luggers can help with basic furniture disassembly and assembly during your moving truck move. Crews bring standard tools, but if your items need specialty tools or instructions, please have those ready. Time spent disassembling or assembling is included in your total labor.
Yes, you're responsible for legal, safe parking at both pickup and the destination. If a permit is required in Salt Lake City, please secure it in advance. Wait time is billable, and a lack of access may require rescheduling.
Your Lugg crew will do everything we safely can to ensure a successful move. If an item can't be moved due to size or access, we can return it to the pickup or another location as an additional stop in Salt Lake City. Standard rates apply. We recommend measuring ahead of time to prevent this.
Yes, your Lugg crew will place furniture and boxes in the rooms you choose on any accessible floor. Please note, we do not provide mounting or installation services.
Lugg movers can take packaging and trash to an on-site dumpster, or move an old item to the curb for city pickup, as part of your labor time.
To haul packaging, trash or old items away, or to donate them, add an extra stop (or stops) when you book, at a recycling center, disposal site or local charity you choose, like Goodwill or Habitat ReStore near Salt Lake City.
Tip: Donation and disposal centers vary widely in what they accept, so call ahead to confirm they can take your items, and check their hours and any fees.
