What is the process for using Lugg to deliver my Crate and Barrel purchase?

It's simple! Here's the process: 1. Buy your Crate and Barrel furniture: Complete your purchase at the store or the Crate and Barrel website and select "in-store pickup." 2. Get the receipt: Hold onto your order confirmation or receipt. You'll need to upload a photo of it when you book. 3. Book your Lugg: Schedule a Lugg for pickup within the hour. Enter the store's address in Sacramento as your pickup location and your home as the drop-off. 4. We handle the rest: Your Luggers will load, transport, and place your Crate and Barrel furniture in the room of your choice.

Do I need to be at the Crate and Barrel store for pickup?

No, you don't! As long as you upload a clear photo of your receipt or order confirmation from the Crate and Barrel store in Sacramento, your Luggers can handle the pickup for you. Some Crate and Barrel locations may require additional verification, and we will contact you if that's the case.

What if I buy something in a local Crate and Barrel store and want it delivered the same day?

That's what we specialize in! You can book a Lugg right from the Crate and Barrel store or parking lot in Sacramento. Our crew can often arrive for pickup within the hour, getting your new Crate and Barrel furniture home faster than traditional delivery. If you prefer to schedule ahead, you can book your Lugg for the hour of your choice up to 60 days in advance.

Do I need to provide an order number or Crate and Barrel store receipt?

Yes, upload your digital receipt or provide your Crate and Barrel order confirmation number when booking so our crew can easily locate your Crate and Barrel furniture at the Sacramento store.

Can Lugg pick up my Crate and Barrel store order if it hasn't been paid for yet?

No, Lugg crews cannot complete payment at the store. Please ensure your Crate and Barrel purchase is fully paid for and ready for pickup before booking.

Will Lugg wait if my Crate and Barrel order isn't ready when they arrive?

For stores inside our partner network receiving flat rate delivery, we will wait up to 15 minutes for your order at no additional cost. For wait times over 15 minutes, you may need to re-schedule. For stores outside of our partner network, wait time is billable at your normal labor rate. To avoid charges, confirm with Crate and Barrel in Sacramento that your order is ready for pickup before booking.

Can Lugg take away my old furniture when delivering my new purchase?

Yes, Lugg can pick up your new furniture and then haul away the old one to a recycling facility or donate it to a local charity, including donation centers like [Goodwill](https://lugg.com/goodwill-donation-pickup) or [Habitat ReStore](https://lugg.com/habitat-for-humanity-donation-pickup) near Sacramento. Just add an extra stop when booking your delivery. If you're buying from a partner store, that extra stop means your Lugg is priced as a standard Lugg, with labor billed by the minute at every stop. **Tip**: Donation and disposal centers vary widely in what they accept, so we recommend calling ahead to confirm they can take your furniture, along with their hours and any potential fees.

What if I find damage to my furniture upon arrival?

Please inspect your furniture upon delivery. If you find damage upon receiving your furniture, or discover defects from the store, note it immediately with your crew and contact the Crate and Barrel store for assistance. If damage to your furniture occurred during transport, please [contact us](https://lugg.com/contact) to file a damage claim. We will ask you to hold your furniture as we work to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.

What supplies and protective equipment will my Luggers bring for my Crate and Barrel delivery?

Every Lugg Crate and Barrel delivery in Sacramento includes professional moving equipment, straps, dollies, moving blankets, and stretch wrap to protect your items and your space, plus a basic toolkit for light disassembly or reassembly. Pickup trucks also come equipped with a tarp for weather protection. Your Luggers will wrap fragile or bulky pieces for safe transport, take care to avoid damage to floors, walls, and elevators, and move heavy furniture, appliances, and other large items safely through tight spaces, stairs, and doorways. This helps ensure a smooth, efficient Crate and Barrel delivery from start to finish.

What happens if my new furniture doesn't fit through my doorway?

You are responsible for measuring your doorways, hallways, and stairwells to ensure your furniture will fit before booking. Your furniture cannot be delivered because it doesn't fit, it can be placed in an alternate location at your destination or be returned to the Crate and Barrel store of purchase. If you prefer the item is returned to the store, you will be charged for the initial delivery attempt and for the additional return trip.

Can Lugg pick up my furniture from multiple stores in one trip?

Yes, Lugg supports up to 5 pickups or drop-offs per Lugg, so you can coordinate multi-store pickups in one easy delivery. Just add each store as a stop when booking.

How much does a Lugg cost in Sacramento?

Lugg prices every booking as a base fare for the vehicle you pick, a per-mile rate for the distance between your stops, and labor billed by the minute with no hourly minimum. You'll see your upfront estimate before you book, including a small variable booking fee, and rates vary by city. The vehicle you pick sets most of the price, so a single piece of furniture in a Lite or Pickup costs much less than a full apartment in a Box. Routes over 30 miles add a long-distance fee, which is already in your estimate, and a Movers only job has no mileage at all.

Edgar and Marcel were fabulous!! Even came with protection for the dresser traveling in the rain. Thank you- this is such a great service to discover! I accidentally booked two appointments at the same time for the same thing- and Lugg should try and work to improve obvious mistaken repetitions- for us Luddites. Not sure how that even happened. Felt badly that the other guys who showed up drove all the way out for nothing. - carissa

A friend told me use "Lugg" to help me move a dresser. I was a bit worried that it would be cost a lot of money, but it did not. The price was just right. And the service that Mario & Jessy was "BEYOND AWESOME"!!!! They introduce themselves, wore masks, and worked like they had worked together for a long time. They also worked safe and fast. They have set the bar for the next "Lugg" team. Thank you Mario and Jessy!!! - Monica

Does Crate & Barrel deliver in Sacramento?

Crate & Barrel may deliver orders on its own schedule, but when you buy in the store or at an outlet and want it home today, that's the gap Lugg fills. Book a Lugg once you've paid, and Lugg movers pick up your purchase and carry it inside to the room you choose, often within the hour. You pay Crate & Barrel for what you buy, and Lugg's upfront estimate covers the delivery. Lugg is an on-demand moving and delivery service that has completed more than 2,000 Crate & Barrel pickups in the past year, from stores and outlets across the country.

Crate & Barrel outlet delivery

Most Crate & Barrel Luggs start at an outlet, where floor models and last-of-a-kind pieces sell fast and usually have to leave with you. Pay at the register, then book a Lugg with the outlet as your pickup and your home as the drop-off. Sofas and sectionals are the most common Crate & Barrel Lugg, followed by tables, chairs, dressers and consoles.

Which Lugg fits your Crate & Barrel order

Choose a vehicle at least as long as your longest piece. A pickup truck, booked as a Lite or a Pickup, has a bed at least 6 feet long and carries a tarp. A Van (at least 8 feet) is enclosed, which keeps a sofa or a boxed bed frame dry on a rainy day, and the Pickup and the Van are the two most common choices for a Crate & Barrel run. An XL (at least 10 feet) or a Box truck, 12 to 16 feet, takes a sectional and a dining set in one trip.

Marble, glass and heavy pieces

Lugg movers wrap and strap each piece before it goes on the truck, which matters most on marble tops, glass shelves and solid wood cabinets. Check the weight of anything with stone in it before you book. Lugg's weight limit is 125 lbs per Lugger, or 250 lbs per item on any vehicle that comes with two Luggers: Pickup, Van, XL, Box or Box+. Anything heavier needs more Luggers on the job, so book a second Lugg for the same time window.

Inside, upstairs, and put together

Lugg movers carry your Crate & Barrel order to the room of your choice, whether that's a third-floor apartment or a bedroom upstairs. Measure the doorway and the stairwell first so a sectional doesn't stop at the front door. Once it's in place, Lugg movers can assemble it right there in the room, from a bed frame to a dining table.
