What is the process for using Lugg to deliver my La-Z-Boy purchase?

It's simple! Here's the process: 1. Buy your La-Z-Boy furniture: Complete your purchase at the store or the La-Z-Boy website and select "in-store pickup." 2. Get the receipt: Hold onto your order confirmation or receipt. You'll need to upload a photo of it when you book. 3. Book your Lugg: Schedule a Lugg for pickup within the hour. Enter the store's address in Austin as your pickup location and your home as the drop-off. 4. We handle the rest: Your Luggers will load, transport, and place your La-Z-Boy furniture in the room of your choice.

Do I need to be at the La-Z-Boy store for pickup?

No, you don't! As long as you upload a clear photo of your receipt or order confirmation from the La-Z-Boy store in Austin, your Luggers can handle the pickup for you. Some La-Z-Boy locations may require additional verification, and we will contact you if that's the case.

What if I buy something in a local La-Z-Boy store and want it delivered the same day?

That's what we specialize in! You can book a Lugg right from the La-Z-Boy store or parking lot in Austin. Our crew can often arrive for pickup within the hour, getting your new La-Z-Boy furniture home faster than traditional delivery. If you prefer to schedule ahead, you can book your Lugg for the hour of your choice up to 60 days in advance.

Do I need to provide an order number or La-Z-Boy store receipt?

Yes, upload your digital receipt or provide your La-Z-Boy order confirmation number when booking so our crew can easily locate your La-Z-Boy furniture at the Austin store.

Can Lugg pick up my La-Z-Boy store order if it hasn't been paid for yet?

No, Lugg crews cannot complete payment at the store. Please ensure your La-Z-Boy purchase is fully paid for and ready for pickup before booking.

Will Lugg wait if my La-Z-Boy order isn't ready when they arrive?

For stores inside our partner network receiving flat rate delivery, we will wait up to 15 minutes for your order at no additional cost. For wait times over 15 minutes, you may need to re-schedule. For stores outside of our partner network, wait time is billable at your normal labor rate. To avoid charges, confirm with La-Z-Boy in Austin that your order is ready for pickup before booking.

Can Lugg take away my old furniture when delivering my new purchase?

Yes, Lugg can pick up your new furniture and then haul away the old one to a recycling facility or donate it to a local charity, including donation centers like [Goodwill](https://lugg.com/goodwill-donation-pickup) or [Habitat ReStore](https://lugg.com/habitat-for-humanity-donation-pickup) near Austin. Just add an extra stop when booking your delivery. If you're buying from a partner store, that extra stop means your Lugg is priced as a standard Lugg, with labor billed by the minute at every stop. **Tip**: Donation and disposal centers vary widely in what they accept, so we recommend calling ahead to confirm they can take your furniture, along with their hours and any potential fees.

What if I find damage to my furniture upon arrival?

Please inspect your furniture upon delivery. If you find damage upon receiving your furniture, or discover defects from the store, note it immediately with your crew and contact the La-Z-Boy store for assistance. If damage to your furniture occurred during transport, please [contact us](https://lugg.com/contact) to file a damage claim. We will ask you to hold your furniture as we work to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.

What supplies and protective equipment will my Luggers bring for my La-Z-Boy delivery?

Every Lugg La-Z-Boy delivery in Austin includes professional moving equipment, straps, dollies, moving blankets, and stretch wrap to protect your items and your space, plus a basic toolkit for light disassembly or reassembly. Pickup trucks also come equipped with a tarp for weather protection. Your Luggers will wrap fragile or bulky pieces for safe transport, take care to avoid damage to floors, walls, and elevators, and move heavy furniture, appliances, and other large items safely through tight spaces, stairs, and doorways. This helps ensure a smooth, efficient La-Z-Boy delivery from start to finish.

What happens if my new furniture doesn't fit through my doorway?

You are responsible for measuring your doorways, hallways, and stairwells to ensure your furniture will fit before booking. Your furniture cannot be delivered because it doesn't fit, it can be placed in an alternate location at your destination or be returned to the La-Z-Boy store of purchase. If you prefer the item is returned to the store, you will be charged for the initial delivery attempt and for the additional return trip.

Can Lugg pick up my furniture from multiple stores in one trip?

Yes, Lugg supports up to 5 pickups or drop-offs per Lugg, so you can coordinate multi-store pickups in one easy delivery. Just add each store as a stop when booking.

Is there a long-distance fee for trips over 30 miles?

Yes. When your stops add up to more than 30 miles, Lugg adds a long-distance fee on top of your normal per-mile rate. There is no added fee for the first 30 miles, miles 31 to 50 add $2 each, and every mile above 50 adds $2.50. So a 40-mile route adds $20, and a 60-mile route adds $65. The same tiers apply to every vehicle size, and to partner store deliveries as well as standard Luggs. Lugg measures the distance between your own stops, not the drive your Luggers make to reach your first pickup, and adds up the whole route before rounding up once to the next whole mile. The fee is included in the upfront estimate you see before you book and itemized on your receipt, and any promo code or discount applies as usual. Labor-only bookings, business accounts, and custom or negotiated rates are excluded.

John and Marcus were absolutely wonderful! We needed last-minute help moving several heavy pieces of furniture, including a couch up the stairs, and they got everything done in an amazing amount of time. They were professional, friendly, efficient, and clearly knew exactly what they were doing. What had turned into a stressful situation for us was handled so quickly and easily once they arrived. I cannot say enough good things about them. I would absolutely use John and Marcus again and highly recommend them. Thank you both so much! - Leslie

Not only did they bring a couch and chair from super south Austin to north Central Austin, they pushed it all the way up my huge hilly walkway and even moved my old couch and chair to the curb. AND they played with my dogs! This is my second hire of this duo and they are AMAZING. Worth the money + the tip, and even more. - Jessica

These guys were better than good. I highly recommend their work. My couch was bigger and door was smaller than expected and they worked very hard to get it in. They were very concerned about my wood floors as well. If there were more stars to give I'd rate them higher! - Kim

Wow I am so pleased and happy with this moving job! We realized veryyyy quickly that the couch was not fitting in with the railing on the second floor and they helped unscrew it and be very creative with getting it into my apartment! They were kind, pleasant, professional and determined which I greatly appreciated!! 12/10 would recommend!! - Catherine

They were very efficient, brought my couch up stairs with ease, and even made sure to take the wrapping that my couch was in, which was very helpful being that I don’t have a dumpster in my community. The couch came in perfect condition. They were very communicative, and all around wonderful to work with! - Morgan

Outstanding Service from Michael and Yadier! Michael and Yadier were exceptional. They arrived on time, took extra care to shrink-wrap my white sectional couch, and efficiently navigated my large sectional through narrow doorways. Despite the intense heat, they worked swiftly and thoughtfully. Their professionalism and attention to detail were impressive. Highly, highly recommend Lugg and specifically these two movers! - Kim

Alisher and Carlos apparently had just run out of plastic wrap on their previous Lugg, so I just recommend to be over prepared in future. They did offer to pick more up on the way to delivery location to wrap in order to leave in my place, which is undergoing some dusty renovation work. I appreciated that but was worried I might be charged. They were friendly, efficient and took care with my sofa. Arrived in the estimated window and delivery went smoothly. - Shelley
