Most Crate & Barrel Luggs start at an outlet, where floor models and last-of-a-kind pieces sell fast and usually have to leave with you. Pay at the register, then book a Lugg with the outlet as your pickup and your home as the drop-off. Sofas and sectionals are the most common Crate & Barrel Lugg, followed by tables, chairs, dressers and consoles.
Which Lugg fits your Crate & Barrel order
Choose a vehicle at least as long as your longest piece. A pickup truck, booked as a Lite or a Pickup, has a bed at least 6 feet long and carries a tarp. A Van (at least 8 feet) is enclosed, which keeps a sofa or a boxed bed frame dry on a rainy day, and the Pickup and the Van are the two most common choices for a Crate & Barrel run. An XL (at least 10 feet) or a Box truck, 12 to 16 feet, takes a sectional and a dining set in one trip.
Marble, glass and heavy pieces
Lugg movers wrap and strap each piece before it goes on the truck, which matters most on marble tops, glass shelves and solid wood cabinets. Check the weight of anything with stone in it before you book. Lugg's weight limit is 125 lbs per Lugger, or 250 lbs per item on any vehicle that comes with two Luggers: Pickup, Van, XL, Box or Box+. Anything heavier needs more Luggers on the job, so book a second Lugg for the same time window.
