Who will pick up and haul away my old furniture in Atlanta?

Lugg does, and it takes one booking: movers arrive with a truck, carry your old furniture out from wherever it's sitting, and drive it to the dump, recycling center or donation center you choose in Atlanta. There's no hourly minimum, and you can book within the hour or pick a one-hour window that suits you. Still have questions? Chat with Lugg support or [send us a message](https://lugg.com/contact).

What will Lugg take in Atlanta, and what won't it?

Most junk hauls are furniture, mattresses, appliances, boxes and bagged household trash going to the dump. Bagged yard waste works the same way, as long as it fits the vehicle you book, and Lugg handles items up to 250 lbs each, or up to 125 lbs on a Lugg Lite. People book it for garage cleanouts, estate cleanouts, office declutters and spring cleaning, and for the single heavy thing that won't fit in a car. For safety reasons, Lugg can't take hazardous material like paint, chemicals, batteries or propane tanks, or loose trash and raw material like soil, compost and branches.

Can Lugg pick up my junk today in Atlanta?

Yes, Lugg does same-day junk removal: book within the hour, pick a one-hour arrival window later today, or schedule up to 60 days out. Just check that your drop-off site is still open, since dumps and recycling centers often close in the early afternoon.

Where can I take my old furniture, mattress or couch in Atlanta?

A landfill or transfer station, a recycling center, or a donation center like Goodwill, Salvation Army or Habitat for Humanity ReStore if the piece is still usable. Lugg's guide to [finding a dump or donation center](https://lugg.com/blog/how-to-find-a-dump-or-donation-center) covers how to pick one near you. Lugg handles the transport, not the disposal, so you choose the destination and your Luggers drive it there and unload it. Call ahead to check the facility's hours and fees, and that it will take what you're bringing.

Do I have to move everything outside first?

No, Lugg movers will carry your items out from anywhere inside your home or on your property, including attics, basements and garages. Nothing has to reach the curb first.

Are dump or disposal fees included in my Lugg?

No, the facility's fee isn't included in your Lugg total. The dump or recycling center you choose in Atlanta charges a fee based on the combined weight of your items, and it varies by location. Most customers pay between $35 and $150. Your Luggers pay it for you at the facility, and it's charged to your card separately from your Lugg total, usually within 48 hours.

Can I donate my stuff instead of dumping it?

Yes, if it's still in good usable condition, Lugg can deliver it to your preferred [donation center](https://lugg.com/donation-pickup) in Atlanta like Goodwill, Salvation Army or Habitat for Humanity. Just add the donation center as your drop-off location. It's worth contacting your local donation center in Atlanta to confirm their drop-off hours and whether your items are eligible for donation.

Will a dump or recycling center take my old mattress, TV or appliances?

Most recycling and transfer centers in Atlanta take mattresses, TVs and appliances as e-waste, sometimes for an extra fee. Lugg can drive them to any facility that accepts them, though Lugg doesn't handle the disposal itself. Confirm your local facility's policy before you book, because acceptance and pricing vary by location.

Lugg w/ Paki & Sadiki : This is my second time using Lugg, and my movers went above and beyond with assisting me! They not only expertly moved my antique furniture out of a home with multiple flights of stairs, but they also assembled my bed upon delivery to my home! I will continue to use the service. If you too would like to use the service, I would recommend these two movers for all of your needs. Seriously! Despite being stung by a wasp at my home, they still were so quick and helpful. 100/10 movers. - Malia
