Buying secondhand is easy until the pickup. Whether the listing offers local delivery or says pickup only, the item still has to get from a stranger's garage to your living room. Lugg is an on-demand delivery service that collects Facebook Marketplace purchases from the seller and carries them inside, for items too big to fit in a car.
Plenty of listings say pickup only, and most private sellers won't carry a sleeper sofa down a flight of stairs with you. Movers do the loading at both ends, so the sale doesn't depend on the seller's help, a borrowed pickup, or a friend with a free Saturday. If the piece has to come apart to get out of the seller's place, the crew can handle basic disassembly and put it back together at yours.
One booking holds up to five stops, so a dresser from one listing, a rug from another and a pair of chairs across town can all come home on the same run.
Movers can't handle cash or payments between you and the seller, so if the listing is cash only, plan to pay the seller yourself once the crew has confirmed they've got the item. Ask for photos and video while you're still negotiating, and the crew will look the item over when they arrive too.
