Tomas and Luis were wonderful! They were very dialed into the fact that I knew exactly what I wanted (re furniture moving and sequencing), and they were more than happy to follow my instructions. Jay and Jordan were patient with a wait for the pick up and very careful with my furniture. So responsive and great communication. Grateful for their help! - Heidi

Elijah was amazing! We had a tight space to fit furniture and creatively came up with ways to get it through and upstairs. We couldn't have done it without him! Thank you, Elijah! - Katie

Juan and Jose moved a very heavy piece of furniture up two tricky flights of stairs—they were very careful and did a great job! Highly recommend! - Michaela

We tipped in cash--hope that's ok. These guys were amazing. they were so sweet with my elderly mom (where furniture was picked up) and I was impressed by how deftly they maneuvered around tight corners etc. they went the extra mile moving a few things out of the way (and back) so they could bring in some large pieces, and it was almost like watching them thread a needle getting my massive couch through the fench gate. - Tiffany

William and Richard arrived right on time, wrapped everything professionally and did a great job moving some VERY big and heavy furniture up difficult and narrow sf staircases. I highly recommend them! - Alex

Trigo made sure to pass along details of the pick up and the product that i would not otherwise have known, as I ordered it from FB marketplace. They also helped me move some heavy furniture out of the way before placing new couch down. It was nice to work with both of them! - Caleigh

Ahat and Caleb were fantastic. They were careful with my items, friendly, and a good team. They loaded and unloaded (and climbed the one flight of stairs) all my things in 90 mins, as well as helped me rearrange some furniture that I couldn’t lift. Highly recommend. Would definitely hire again! 😊 - Kristin

They were so awesome! Strong, worked together, and they were so respectful of the property and the furniture. They’re my heroes! - Jenny

Spencer and Joy were fantastic! They were clearly pros handling super heavy furniture with ease and handling interpersonal interactions with natural, friendly, and approachable demeanors. I would hire them again! - Gail

Pedro and Jonny helped move old furniture out of our house and then move a large 8’ farmhouse table upstairs to my new workroom. They found a clever way to remove the top which allowed the table to fit up our narrow hall and stairway and then reassembled it once in the room. - Laurie

Kenny and Jessiah were so awesome! They handled and bulky and heavy dresser with ease. they were really careful with the furniture as well. Best in the business! - Lilly

Nasario & Humberto were amazing to work with. They were efficient and took great care of our furniture. They were not informed of the extent of the move due to the lack of information provided by the Lugg app, which was an unfair experience for them. They handled it with professionalism and got the job done in record time! - Lucky

Handled my furniture with care and moved very quickly. They were so great and I will definitely be using lugg again! - Katherine

This team was fantastic. They arrived on time and were able to deliver a piece of furniture that another team was unable to. So they are creative problem solvers! I’d definitely hire them again. - Claire

Edgar and Rolando did such a phenomenal job for a quasi-long distance move of the sofa I was picking up 25+ miles away. They were super friendly and attentive to details regarding moving such a big intricate piece of furniture. They wrapped the sofa and made sure its secure in the van during transport. While unloading, they made sure to check in with me on the layout with the furniture. What a seamless experience for a stressful task! Highly recommend them. - Angela

Fantastic job, smooth process and they know how to protect furniture! Thank you, guys! (Gave a cash tip.) - Jocelyn

Brian and Jose did an AMAZING job moving an impossibly heavy and huge piece of furniture up and down narrow sf apartment building staircases. Thank you both so so much. - Maggie

They have a professional skill to make my furnitures fit in the small elevator and go through doors. Muchas gracias! - Masa

Donating furniture is simple right up to the moment it has to come down the stairs. Lugg carries the piece out, down whatever stairs are in the way, and delivers it to the charity you picked, the same day, for an upfront estimate rather than a free slot several weeks out. Lugg is an on-demand moving and delivery service in San Francisco that collects furniture donations from your door and delivers them to any charity you choose, for pieces too heavy or too awkward to get down the stairs alone.
If one item is going to get turned away, it's a used mattress. Plenty of donation centers won't accept them at all, the rules differ by state and by center, and Savers publishes mattresses on its decline list outright. Large appliances, anything torn or stained, and furniture that's already broken tend to follow. So call the center you're donating to and confirm they'll take the specific piece before you book, because their crew can still decline it at the door and what one center accepts doesn't mean another will.
A couch is the piece that defeats a car, a friend and a doorway on the same afternoon. Sectionals are the forgiving ones because they come apart; sleeper sofas are the opposite, since the folding frame makes them far heavier than they look. Measure the narrowest doorway and the turn at the top of the stairs before you book, because that turn is what stops a sofa that cleared the front door.
When a center won't take the mattress, the trip still works. One booking holds up to five stops, so the dresser and the dining chairs can reach the charity while the mattress goes on to a recycling facility or transfer station in the same run. Plan those stops when you book and they're in the estimate you see before you commit.
Enter your address and the charity's address and the estimate appears before you commit to anything. There are no hourly minimums, so a twenty-minute couch run costs twenty minutes of work instead of a two-hour block. Pick the vehicle that fits the piece, and have small items bagged or boxed before pickup.
