Labor-only moving help means movers without the truck: they come to you, do the lifting, and leave when the work's done. It covers the rental truck you can drive but can't load by yourself, the moving container sitting in the driveway, the sleeper sofa that has to get up three flights of stairs, and the furniture that has to come out before the floors get refinished and go back in once they're dry. Yes, and finer than that. Lugg bills moving labor by the minute with no hourly minimum, so a 40-minute job costs 40 minutes rather than the two-to-four-hour minimum most moving companies quote. The clock starts when the crew arrives and stops when you say you're done, and if the job runs longer than you planned they can keep working at the same rate. Because nothing travels between two addresses, there's no mileage to pay — just the vehicle's base fare and the per-minute labor rate.
Movers load and unload a rental truck, a moving container or a storage unit, carry a single heavy item to a different room — a treadmill down to the basement, a safe across the house, a mattress up a staircase — rearrange a living room before a showing, and break down and clear out tables and chairs after an event. They bring a dolly, moving blankets, stretch wrap and straps, and they can take a bed frame apart and put it back together in the room it's going in.
