How do I book a labor-only move if I don't need a truck?

To book moving help at 1 location, simply enter your home or job site address as **both** the pickup and drop-off location. This tells our system you're booking for labor-only and won't be using our truck for transport.

The app is asking me to select a truck, but I just need the movers. What should I choose?

Even for labor-only moves, you'll need to select a truck type to book. We recommend selecting the **Pickup Truck**, as it has the lowest base fare. You will not be charged for mileage since the pickup and drop-off addresses are the same.

How do I estimate how many Luggers and how much time I'll need?

It quickly calculates estimated cost based on truck type and labor time. And remember: your crew can stay for as little or as long as you need, billed per minute with no minimums. Here are some general guidelines to help you plan:

* **Rearranging Furniture:** For moving a few heavy items within your home, a 2-Lugger crew for one hour is typically sufficient. 
* **Loading/Unloading a Truck or Pod:** For a studio or 1-bedroom apartment, we recommend a 2-Lugger crew for 2-3 hours. For a 2-3 bedroom home, plan for a 2-Lugger crew for 3-5 hours. 
* **Event Setup:** This varies greatly, but a 2-Lugger crew is usually a good starting point for setting up tables, chairs, and other event decor.

Are your crews experienced in loading and unloading moving trucks and storage containers?

Even for labor-only moves, your Luggers will arrive with professional moving equipment to ensure the job is done safely and efficiently. This includes a dolly, moving blankets, stretch wrap, tie-down straps, and a basic toolkit for light disassembly or reassembly.

Your Luggers will take care to avoid damage to floors, walls, and elevators, and are trained to move heavy furniture, appliances, and other large items safely through tight spaces, stairs, and doorways. This helps ensure smooth, efficient labor help from start to finish.

Can Lugg help me pack my loose items into boxes?

Our labor service focuses on heavy lifting and moving. We do not provide packing services or supplies for loose items (e.g., packing dishes, clothing, or books into boxes). To make the most of your time, please have everything boxed up and ready to be moved before your crew arrives.
