Loading and unloading a PODS container is a labor job, and it's the part the container delivery leaves out — PODS drops the container off and hauls it away, and everything that goes into it or comes out of it is down to you or to movers you hire. That work is essentially two separate moving days without the drive: boxes and furniture carried out of the house and stacked tight so nothing shifts on the road, then the whole container emptied at the other end and each piece carried to the room it belongs in. Everything at the back of the container comes out last, so what goes in first matters more here than on a truck you're emptying the same afternoon. Off-season clothes, books and the garage go deep.
