No vehicle needed. You’re the second half of a two-person crew: keep the customer updated, and handle the lifting and loading with the driver.
The entry point for drivers. Great for smaller moves, store pickups, and quick deliveries. An open 6 ft bed handles furniture, boxes, mattresses, and marketplace hauls.
A step up from the pickup. Its enclosed 8 ft cargo area protects items from the weather and holds more per trip, earning a higher rate on medium moves and store deliveries.
A taller, longer high-roof Sprinter van with at least 10 ft cargo area. It fits king mattresses and larger loads a standard van can’t, unlocking bigger jobs and higher pay.
Now you’re moving whole homes. A 12 to 16 ft box handles full apartments, appliances, and high-volume deliveries, some of the highest-paying jobs on the platform.
The top earner. Our largest option, 18 ft or longer, for 3+ bedroom homes, commercial relocations, and any job that needs maximum cargo space.

Lugg is an on-demand moving platform that connects independent movers with local customers and businesses that need help moving or hauling big, bulky items. You pick up the slots that fit your schedule and get paid the same day.
You'll help customers move and haul heavy items: store deliveries, home and apartment moves, storage runs, labor-only jobs, junk removal, and more. You pick up the slots that fit your schedule, do the job, and get paid the same day.
Start with the form at the top of this page, then complete onboarding: upload your documents, clear a background check, and set up same-day payouts. We'll share the links to download the Lugg Mover app so you can start picking up slots once you're approved. Most movers are up and running within about a week, depending on how quickly you finish onboarding.
Yes, every mover completes a background check as part of onboarding. There's nothing to pay upfront; the cost is deducted from your future earnings, which is standard for independent contractor work. Ask the team during onboarding if you have any questions.
Drivers bring their own qualifying vehicle and moving supplies and handle the transport. Helpers work alongside the driver, keeping the customer updated and doing the lifting and loading. Both move furniture and household items on every job. Because drivers supply the vehicle and equipment, they earn a higher rate than helpers. Mileage is reimbursed for qualifying zone miles at a set rate, and most required tolls are covered; reimbursements apply to drivers only.
Yes, you can sign up as a moving helper even without a pickup, cargo van, or box truck. Helpers work the second seat on a two-person crew, so all you need is a phone and the ability to lift.
In some markets, yes, but only through specific approved rental partners, and the rental has to meet our vehicle requirements. Ask the team during onboarding which rentals are approved in your area.
Same day. You're paid every evening for that day's jobs and tips. You'll connect a debit card or bank account during onboarding so your payouts land quickly.
Yes, customers can rate their move and add a tip afterward. Tips are split evenly with your crew on a two-person job, and Lugg never takes a cut. Tips add up: some Luggers make over $1,000 a month in tips alone.
Yes, you pick up the slots that fit your week: mornings, weekends, or just a few hours. There's no minimum. Some Luggers work full-time hours; many do it as a side hustle alongside another job.
