Was pleased with the speed which the van arrived to transport a couch from Costco. Was given a detailed description of the rules about the weight of the object to be moved. I think your website app needs to be better at listing that there is a weight limit. I did not see anything that asked me to list the weight. Ultimately the guys decided they would go ahead and move the "over weight" couch. I also did not see on the app a way to book the removal of the old sofa when the new one was delivered. So another improvement to your website would be welcome. The guys did a good job getting the old sofa out and the new one in. It was a difficult process and I really appreciated their efforts. Lugg is an on-demand moving and delivery service that does both halves of furniture removal in Vancouver - movers arrive with a truck, carry the piece out of whatever room it's in, load it, and drive it to the dump, recycling center or donation center you name. One chair or a whole house, it's the same furniture removal service and the same booking.
The estimate you see before booking is the vehicle's base fare plus the movers' time, billed by the minute. There's no hourly minimum, so a single couch carried down one flight prices like the short job it is instead of rounding up to a minimum block. Stairs, a long carry from the door and a slow elevator all take longer, and that time shows up as labor minutes rather than a separate surcharge. You can cancel any time before the movers arrive at no charge, and you'll see your estimate before anything is confirmed.
Most furniture removal is a single piece of old furniture that won't fit in a car and won't go down the stairs alone. Lugg handles items up to 250 lbs each, or up to 125 lbs on a Lugg Lite, and the vehicle and crew are sized to the piece: an upright piano can run 300 to 700 lbs, where a couch or a mattress and box spring is a smaller job.
A garage cleanout, an apartment cleanout at the end of a lease, an estate cleanout after a house sells, or a house cleanout before a move all work as one booking. Movers go room by room and load as they go, and you can add up to five stops, so the pieces still worth using go to a donation center and the rest gets hauled away to the dump on the same run instead of two bookings and two trips.
Offices clear out on a deadline: a lease ends, a floor gets consolidated, a fit-out finishes. Lugg movers carry desks, chairs, filing cabinets, conference tables and cubicle panels out and drive them to the disposal or donation site you choose, including evenings and weekends when the building requires it.
